Mystery OOAK B-Grade Mărțișor Adjustable Bracelet - Spring Trinket
Hand painted on wood, these mărțișor are an unique eco-friendly gift and an offering of prosperity, fertility, love, and good luck. The cotton thread is coated by hand with a mixture of locally sourced beeswax and food-safe mineral oil, and uses stainless steel and/or sterling silver findings and beads.
Each bracelet is one of a kind, hand painted, hand waxed, and finished with varnish to help keep the art beautiful.
Our mărțișor are not intended to, nor made, to last forever. Traditionally at the blossoming of the first flowers of spring you would remove the mărțișor and tie it to a branch of a blossoming tree for greater fortune, love, or fertility. We make our mărțișor bracelets as eco friendly as possible for this reason.
Keep your mărțișor bracelet in good condition by avoiding moisture and when its beauty begins to wane fill it with your wishes for a brighter future and tie it to your tree to keep the tradition alive.
Each order will come with a card explaining the history and tradition of the Mărțișor and an upcycled or rescued gift pouch!
Due to the nature of the mystery, this item is not available for returns or refunds.
What makes an item A-Grade, B-Grade, or C-Grade?
Every mărțișor we make is graded on 3 categories:
A-Grades have beautiful even wooden beads which we check one by one from our supplier, near perfect painted art, clean varnish, and additional beads on the adjusting tassels.
B-Grades have one or more of the following: slightly uneven wooden beads, small smudges on the paint, or slightly uneven varnish. The beads used on the adjustable tassels are also lower quality (ie. not semi-precious stones or metal.) These items are heavily discounted and put into our mystery Gachapon machine for in-person markets. B-Grades are visually beautiful but have small flaws if you look closely.
C-Grade is our lowest grade, they have noticeably uneven beads, smudges on the paint, possibly uneven varnish, and no beads on the adjustable tassels. These items are put into our charity bin for 5$ and all the profit (including labour cost) goes towards one of the charities we support. C-Grades have noticeable flaws, however, are still beautiful.
